Friendship day all
over the Globe
The day of friendship is
celebrated as the friendship day across the globe starting July 30th
to second Sunday of the month of August. It is sought in different part of
world on different day but the common thing in it is the bond that hold two
person together even if they don’t know who they are and what have hold them
together. It is celebrated most joyfully in Paraguay where it was proposed way
back in the year of 1958.
Initially
created by the greeting card industry, evidence from social networking sites shows a revival of interest in the holiday that may
have grown with the spread of the Internet, particularly in India, Bangladesh,
and Malaysia. With the wider use of the satellite communication and vast
digitization of the modern communication system any person from any corner of
world is now able to connect with each other without any boundary of region or
religion and it has make it a global celebration and is most popular in the
Indian subcontinent now a days. People present friendship band to each other
and tie them on the arms of their friends whom they believe to be their own and
close to heart.
Friendship
Day celebrations occur on different dates in different countries. The first
World Friendship Day was proposed for 30 July in 1958, by the World Friendship
Crusade. On 27 April 2011 the General Assembly of the United Nations
declared 30 July as official International Friendship Day. However, some
countries, including India, celebrate Friendship Day on the first Sunday of
August
